Can Wine Actually Help You Loose Weight?
We all know how hard it can be starting and sticking to a diet plan, giving up nice tasting, sugary foods is a difficult and unpleasant thing to do. So instead of making you stop eating something that you like, what about substituting the evening munchies for something else that is just as great. Studies have demonstrated that wine is ideal to have in the evening to help you break the habit of unhealthy eating late at night, or evening comfort eating.
As per Tim Ferriss’ book, “The 4-Hour Body: The Uncommon Guide To Rapid Weight Loss,” a small portion of wine, say 2 to 3 glasses, can keep that unquenchable desire for snacks at bay. The point is very straightforward: enjoying a glass of wine in the evening can help you pass the evening hunger and desire for snacks long enough so that you don’t feel the need to binge. Clearly, red wine is the greatest evening time snack but of course this doesn’t mean you should drink more than three or four glasses during a relaxing evening.
A recent study led by Harvard University looked at 20,000 women for more than 13 years and deduced that drinking just two glasses of wine a day decreased their danger of becoming overweight dramatically. Large portions of these ladies went on to say that the wine really helped them rest better and feel less tension and stress before bed. This shows that not only can wine help you stay away from those sugary foods in the evening but also help you have a more relaxed sleep as well.
Again this isn’t just another reason for you to go and drink every evening, as always moderation is key. If you have important physical days ahead of you then the last thing you need is a hangover. This is just a small bit of proof that simply having a glass or two in the evenings isn’t bad for you and you don’t have to feel guilty because actually it is doing you a world of good.
