As the previous trackers, Up line is a simple design that vibrates to give basic notifications. Though it’s competition have small screen to display theirs, Jawbone’s app performs the major functions.

The Jawbone UP24  has same outward design like the original Up, and it can be seen in either black or red colors. It’s degree of durability is intense and it’s so flexible that you get to bend it to suit your taste and this makes wearing and removing it really flexible

The Jawbone UP24 is very comfortable with a weight of about 22g, this implies that wearing this device makes you feel very normal and most times you may not even remember that you are putting it on, or even when you are sleeping, due to the fact that it has a thin band and lightness, hence it will not cause distraction while you are sleeping, but its dimension cannot still be compared with some of its competitors such as the Fitbit Flex.

A device used to record all data which can be seen in the Nike Fuel Band and also the Fitbit Change HR is the Tri-axis accelerometer. The major obvious difference is the ability to sync through Bluetooth.
An important upgrade from the Up24 device is that you can connect by bluetoothing wirelessly the Jawbone Up24 to your phone and Jawbone app. This is an upper edge in that you don’t have to remove the band and manually sync by connecting the device by using its audio jack. It can be used also by both Android and iOS users.

The apps homepage is able to give you a report of your steps and daily sleeping goal. Also the homepage includes “did you know” cards that provides you with necessary health information. The app enables you to swipe and scroll through the homepage to get a step by step progress report of your activities and achieved goals. It further gives one the opportunity to get the breakdown of information in a really nice a d simple view style by just tapping on the area of information. For instance, when you tap on the daily steps bar, you get other information such as active minutes, calories burnt, etc

One of the interesting feature of the Jawbone is sleep data. It is more realistic than the approach of the Fitbit and it also gives great information, as long as you remember to hit the button( sleep mode). You get to be aware of your sleep times that is, heavy and light times, the period before you slept, the duration of your sleep, the number of times you were awake and how long. The vibrating tool in the Up24 to ensure that you hit that switch is preferable to the sleep recovery mode that can be found in the original Up.

Jawbone sends email on Mondays to give you a summary of the week before step and average(sleep). And at the end of every summary is a reminder of a great information that any good sleep requests for a dark room and thinking small on improvements whether to sleep half an hour earlier or walking while taking phone calls- which is not really channeled to the individual.

I have found my up24 to be a little annoying when wearing long sleeves, although I feel thats inevitable with all of the bands still being pretty thick. It's still super comfortable to wear for the majority of the time, except occasionally I can catch it on something and it slips off which is a little annoying. But still a great band considering the price of the Up24.
