Tristan Lehari and Darius Gai, former engineering classmates, co-founded TritonWear. Tristan was a competitive swimmer for the varsity team of the University of Waterloo for the five years that he was in working on his Mechatronics Engineering degree. The final two years he was the Team Capitan. When Darius and Tristan started developing gear they would use a GoPro put sensors into a GoPro case and strap it to the back of the swimmers heads while they were in training. After development of the sensors they designed the new sleek case for them that straps to the back of the head on the goggles.
Triton is a non-invasive device that automatically calculates key swimming metrics. The low profile unit replaces a swimmers’ goggle strap, and sits on the back of your head, Tritons design integrates with any style of goggle. Because Triton have simply replaced an exiting piece of equipment that the swimmer would have to wear normally the Triton adds no noticeable drag to the swimmer.
The dozen metrics that Triton track include stoke count, splits, distance-per-stroke, stroke rate, distance underwater, turn time and more.
Now, for the first time, coaches can easily and accurately monitor a metrics variety gained from during the swimmers training sessions. This allows the coaches to provide more detailed feedback to the individual swimmers. The coaches can also review long term metrics from the swimmers to determine improvement.

Triton units provide real time feedback to a coach’s mobile device or tablet for all desired swimmers, including detailed tracking for each athlete for the specified metrics. Real time feedback of these metrics allows coaches to spend more time acting on results and less time calculating and estimating them.
Video recording is built into the app, which allows coaches to easily capture important moments. Videos are easily linked to the desired swimmer by clicking the tag button. Tagging a swimmer automatically links the swimmer’s metrics to the exact times they occur in the video, this provides a powerful tool for post training review of for instant feedback during a practice. Including new tools like stroke and velocity profiles plus the ability to compare different swimmer’s profiles for comparisons benefits.

All workout data and media are automatically uploaded to each swimmers profile after the session is completed. Coaches can then easily view and analyse current and previous data for all of their athletes as well as set new goals for their swimmers. This aspect of Triton gives tool coaches the ability to easily track their swimmers’ progress and set short and long term goals.
Real time notifications show when a coach schedules a new workout or sends a workout analysis, giving coach and swimmer a new means of communication, the app also works on all mobile platforms.
Triton are sure that nutrition and health tracking will become simple and convenient as the swimmers are already using their phones anyway. The Triton app has a section for logging all health and nutritional information in the hope to give the coach an all round view of their swimmers lifestyle.
The Triton has a lot of potential for coaches to gather a real variety of information about their swimmers in a very unique way, because they can know focus of the raw data which means spending less time standing at the end of the lane with a stop watch.
The Triton is not available for purchase just yet, but if you want to pre order the device simply head over to their site by clicking here and pre order your Triton
